After receiving her undergraduate degree on architecture, Aysu Mengütürk completed her master’s degree in plastic arts. Her work depicts women in pain, who are humiliated, silenced and abused in society.

 

Fragmentation, seclusion, desperation and speechlessness form the foundation of her subjects. Having built her expertise in sculpture, as well as painting, engraving and various printing techniques, the artist continues her work in Cemil Güç Studio.
